LUKE’S ROOM

North Colorado Springs

About five minutes after we finished the Garden Room, Jen was ready to go again. This time, we were designing another guest room, meant for a long term house-guest. The room had been Jen’s son Luke’s bedroom. It has his vibe. I am quite flattered that he loves it.

This project had a TIGHT deadline, and while I was furiously upholstering and designing, the choir I worked for was also mid-production in a very ambitious presentation of Sweeney Todd. I don’t think I slept for three weeks, but making a custom chair and headboard was a practically irresistible assignment.

I love this room from the chandelier to the rug to the dog lamps. I'll be honest: the headboard is the showstopper. I made it, so I'm allowed to say that.
