The Garden Room

This was one of my first client projects, and honestly it set an unfair precedent for how much fun a job is supposed to be.

My fabulous friend Jen wanted a guest room that felt calm and uncluttered, somewhere people could actually rest without being visually accosted. No busy walls, no chaos.

For absolutely no reason whatsoever I started calling it The Garden Room almost immediately. This may have influenced the floral themes.

Jen is the queen of thrifting, and she kept turning up beautiful pieces along the way β€” the kind of finds that make a room feel curated and not decorated. A sewing table that had been in her family for years walked in and immediately owned the space. And the iron bed? We weren't touching that. It’s fabulous.

The result is exactly what a guest room should be: quiet, easy, and so special.
